Default Wow, postponing fights is becoming a real trend, isn't it?

I bet ya back in the good ol' Archie Moore days this **** wasn't going on...

But then, those guys didn't have as much choice. They had to fight to make ends meet, fighters are pampered nowadays.

But then, fighters have to be more cautious now because one loss can cause the fans and media to write a guy off. So i guess that would make a fighter more reluctant to go through with a fight while injured.

Thoughts?

The ****ed up part is these fights are holding up BIGGER fights from getting made.
These postponements just push everything back a couple months.

Very true.. If Alexander-Brook had happened in january as originally planned, the winner could have fought Bradley, Malignaggi or maybe Berto in april, for example.

It sucks to be a boxing fan sometimes, but then, it sucks a good deal more to be a boxer sometimes lol

It seems you've taken care of this yourself while thinking out loud, Richie. It's a different business these days and they're acting accordingly. No more, no less. Most of us what would undoubtedly do the same under the circumstances, and so would most of the same "old time" boxers.

I'm actually surprised that more fights don't get postponed.

Considering how torturous training camp is for a boxer. You just have to hit someone on the hip, for example, to break your hand.
