What a great heavyweight fight! Szpilka comes to the ring in a prison jumpsuit? WTF?
This fight should have been on the main ESPN2 rather than live on ESPN3 but anyway Mollo dropped Szpilka twice and Szpilka was rather awful all night. He even was looking for a free point but flopping to the floor 3 times like David Haye. But Szplika with the big KO finsih. Worst part of the fight was the clearly biased ref who deducted 2 points without any prior warning to Mollo and he even cursed at Mollow on 2 occasions during the fight. Mollo with great effort,Szpilka was very luck and he will never be champion. Good fight though! |

Screw me...I just got done watching Szplika vs Mollo on ESPN3 & what a fight! Sure, Artur went down from a left hook by Mollo, but it was a terrific shot, right on the button. Fuck you Polish glass clowns. It was a damn good shot, that Szplika shook off. And what does he do? Keeps throwing that lefty 1-2 & finally catches Mollo with a picture perfect 1-2. I was impressed by Artur's jab all night & his left hand looks damn good & he's not afraid to use it.
Well, it was only Mollo who was rusty as Holy Hell. But still, it takes alot to put a guys lights out with 1 punch, specially against a Gorilla like Mollo. Szplika is young, learning all the time & to all the blimeys that said he's "rubbish", you sure look like dopes now... |

Szpilka has no heart. He went down twice from a nonexistent ush trying to get a free point or DQ win from the biased Ref.
Nice double elbow too by Szpilka, lucky for him the Ref seemed to miss that but deducted a point if Mollo even cleared his throat. |

- The first "knockdown" Mollo pulled his head down in the clinch then threw a low blow yet the ref scored it a KD for Mollo.
- In the first 2 rounds Mollo was throwing punches on the break when the ref had already yelled stop, he gave him a warning - Mollo threw power punches well after the bell after round 2 or 3 (forget which). No point deducted - He kept getting Mollo's cuts checked and got his blood smeared face cleaned off which was a benefit for Mollo. - The point deduction for Mollo was BS but it evened out the bogus KD call. All that in mind care to tell me how the ref was bias? He was very strict and made 2 bad decisions, one that hurt each guy for 1 point for each. |
