well lets see here. we have the boxrec.com #1 undefeated ww champion going up against the #4 welterweight who has suffered just one defeat and is currently riding a 15-figth win streak. said opponent(guerrero will probably be a +300). and then we have the boxrec.com #1 jmw champion, who has defeated just one ranked jmw in five title defenses, that coming two years ago, matched up yet again as a presumably -800 favorite against an opponent that has lost his last two fights by way of UD decision and a wide decision at that(both fights being 20+ point losses where 15 would be universally viewed as a lopsided decision). said #1 jmw is the only champion in the last 20 years to make a title defense agaisnt an opponent coming off two UD losses(mosely) and now the only champion in the history of boxing to make two title defenses against opponents coming off two UD losses. yeah, "shit main event" compared to canelo/cotto. whatever you say, pal. |

Don't hold your breath. If Mayweather picks Alvarez, he will gain 1,000 coolpoints in my book but if you have been following Mayweather for the last 5 years and his choice in opponents, you should probably be expecting disappointment.

Doubt it.
Mayweather and Canelo on the same card, but not in the same ring is HUGE in terms of PPV numbers, and Mayweather knows this. If he was going to fight him in May, he would simply fight on the same card as him in May, then fight him in September and make the same as he just made fighting on the same card as him. Its as simple as that. |

I was starting to get a little anxious since my flights and other arrangements are booked and paid for so I reached out to someone in the know who said that Floyd vs Guerrero is done but the holdup is related to Canelo's fight.
My prediction right now is Canelo fighting another night with perhaps Paulie vs Maidana or Berto as the co with possibly Broner jumping on the card as well. |
