No he doesnt. Billy is a great conditioning coach who is good for what Hatton does best and thats bang static targets that cant fight back. Hattons peak hasnt passed contrary to alot of what people think here. His a good fighter but his penchant for drinking and blowing up in weight WILL be his downfall. Couple this with the fact that he WAS NOT an elite fighter with elite skills to begin with and we finally have a more subjective view of Hatton. Which is nothing more than a quality mainstay at 140 considering ALL the big names are at 47. He beat Kostya at the right time got owned vs PBF and now wants to revert back to form by fighting cans of the likes of the WBU. Its too late for that now. It must be simply onwards and upwards and Hattons resolve must be steeley to cement his mantle as the best at 140 which right now is quite farcical.

Well everyone has an opinion, your welcome to yours. Wouldnt mind a little variety to Hatton. Hatton is a one trick pony, Id hope someone in his team notice that.

Problem is his been like that since he turned pro. His never going to be a cute box puncher. And he simply doesnt have the physical advantages nor skill set to be anything more than he is. What he could have learned was a much better defense. Its got more holes in than swiss cheese. Everytime he steps up in class he will be found wanting as his very easy to hit. To his credit though he hasnt had a bad cut for some time so thats a plus.

Disagree Hatton was full of spontaneity on his way to the Tszyu match albeit at a lower level- however boxing is full of examples of fighters who fall in love with their strongest asset and forget about the other bits. Scott Harrison (strength), Hamed (one shot power) and Hatton (strength and stamina) all i think depreciated once they became over reliant on one particular thing.

Mr Olu - I genuinely don't have the time or inclination to continue this today.

Its Valentines so lets try to put our differences to one side, just for now, and spread some harmony on the forum ....

I will raise a toast to Ajose over a glass (or two) of Rose' later!

By the way I am not a Mr.

He probably could have fought some meaningful fights beforehand

His peak has come and gone
spot on

Sorry Elle I should have realised. As for the toast "Hear Hear". I am sure there will be things we can agree on perhaps never on that topic we shall not refer to anymore.

Have a great Valentine's day and I must say it is great to have members of the fairer sex on the posts and enjoying this great sport which is the ultimate physical contest.

I don't agree Ron especially at 140 pounds perhaps also at 147 pounds Ajose will remain undefeated. I have always maintained that I don't care who the fighter is at 140 ponds Ajose will beat you. One thing is for sure we don'y fear anyone.
