He was a genuinely lazy/undisciplined bastard by the time of 154, no sarcasm.

No way he beats them all in a semi-reality-based kind of run. On his best night at the weight? For instance, the Moore version of Duran each time out? Beats 'em all.

I actually think Trout gives him the most trouble. Big and mobile, the latter of which tended to pose problems for this heavier version of Roberto.

Trout is definitely the one that sticks out.

I think we have to assume he's at his best for each fight. Can't really speculate on when he decides to be lazy or not.

Agreed, but on Duran's best 154 pound form, I really don't see him dropping a round to Trout. Maybe one or two at the most. Trout's win over a past-it Cotto was nice and all, but I don't think he's on the same level as a Davey Moore or really all that mobile, lanky, and quick enough to bother a focused Duran.

At the end of the day, I think Duran would pull out a Katsidis-esque performance against the lot of them. He'd walk through tremendous punishment and do his version of a prime Margarito to wear them down. Duran was just that kind of guy...didn't have a lick of defense, head movement, rolling techniques, but just wore you down with a constant (albeit sloppy and inaccurate) offense.
His defense is very underrated. In fact I think he had better defensive fundaments than any of the list, with MAYBE the exception of Golovkin, who is very good with his feet, but also was Durán in his prime, plus the superior defense in the inside and middle distance.

Here is Durán sparring Nigel Benn:

And there was far of his prime.

Durán destroys Trout even worse than he did to Davey Moore (who was considered much better at the time than Trout is now).If Cotto landed some good punches and tagged him on the ropes, imagine what Durán would do to him.Foie grass liver and hamburger face.

It's my opinion I cant see Trout winning a motivated Durán.

Oh for sure, you're 100% right. I was just being a sarcastic dick, sorry Duran's defense was legitimately great in my opinion. Amazing ability to slip and roll his body away from punches. Incredible reflexes and instincts. Thanks for posting the Benn sparring...awesome to see.

Duran's one of the very best defensive fighters ever and he wasn't even a defensive fighter. He was stupid good.

Fun to see old, bloated Duran fight or spar. He's got virtually nothing but pure ring craft left by that point and therefore we get to see it on full display.

It sickens me how many dudes blow GGG on this forum.. He's pretty good but dude doesn't boggle my mind or anything. Ive seen better.. He still needs to prove himself against equal opposition...

I think Duran beats everybody but Trout would give him some trouble cuz a 154 Duran would not like movements..

I picked him to beat them all but he wouldn't do in a real schedule. Atleast one of these fights would see him fat and unmotivated.

But in a fantasy fight scenario, taking the Duran from the Moore fight, I wouldn't favour any of these men over him.
