Default Re: Wlad vs. Oquendo on April 6?

Slim pickings for Wlad:

Pulev - not ready
Adamek - negotiating rematch with Cunningham?
Haye - already dominated
Povetkin - been ducking for years, should fight in summer
Fury - making unreasonable financial demands?
Solis - German promoters won't serve him up
Banks - has a fight scheduled
Thompson - already dominated TWICE
Glazkov - fight scheduled, not ready
Price - not ready
Cunningham - negotiating rematch with Adamek?
Arreola - fight scheduled
Chagaev - already dominated
Pianeta - German promoters won't serve him up
Boytsov - fight scheduled
Wach - already dominated
Dimitrenko - fight scheduled, German promoters won't serve him up
Lawrence - won't fight
Mitchell - fight scheduled
Chisora - suspended
Charr - hahahahaha
Jennings - not ready

I mean seriously, who the **** does Wlad fight? Since this is a "voluntary" defense there's no purse bid - so the German promoters will make it extremely difficult to negotiate fights with Solis, Dimitrenko, Pianeta, etc. I don't know what the issue is with Tyson Fury, but I don't think he really wants the fight (regardless of what he says on Twitter).

Yes, Owen Beck could be his next defense after Oquendo.

That's what I meant, yes.

This was my idea, CHEF. Tell Waldo he can thank me later.

Hopefully CHEF will post in this thread and let us know whether Waldimir will be fighting Oquendo or not.

It's difficult to believe, but it's not impossible because of Oquendo's high WBA ranking and because he's a well-known heavyweight.

cant disagree with the above, I do however feel there has to be someone more worthy than Oquendo

Only fights I'd personaly like to see WK in before he hangs 'em up would be Vs. Arreola & Povetkin.

On most of those questionable decisions, I would say that the judges were just making "corrections" for the referee turning blind eye on Oquendo rabbit punching And he was lucky to meet many great (and good) fighters on decline - like Byrd, Toney or Holy. I agree he would be decent opponent 10 years ago, but now I can't imagine why should he is getting another chance.
