and yes 3 red to failure does risk injury..i said that is the lowest one wants to go..in general 5 reps is about right.

a 1 rep max is by definition to failure.
Power lifters do 1rm training regularly, by that I mean weekly.

Finding your 1RM may be going to failure, but training at or around it is not.

You really are completely and utterly clueless.

1RM means 1 repetition maximum. So by definition it is to failure..retard..go read a book on logic.

anyhow..not too many workouts out their do 1 rep max on the regular..maybe some that do it as the final thing on a pyrmid scheme. I have a feeling no boxers on earth fucking do 1 rep max as a workout.

Lifting the heaviest weight possible for a single completed rep is not the same as lifting a weight to failure. It's very basic. Go argue your point on a strongman/powlifting/olympic lifting/american football forum, you'll be laughed off the site.

so lifting to 3 rep failure is something that you shouldnt do because you risk injury, but i rep max is safe..

Your biggest problem is that you don't even seem to know why you're wrong, and you seem to have absolutely no desire to rectify the situation either.

so doing workouts that involve 1 rep max is somehow more safe than 3 rep?

Who are these many people that are afraid of injury? Strength athletes have used 1rm training for years, something that you've completely ignored in every post i've mentionwd them.
