Yes in hindsight you say that but a lot of people thought Trout was untested at that point and Cotto would be too much for him. I think Cotto and his team thought Trout wasn't as good as he really is. Just my opinion. I am a Cotto fan and thought when he took this fight it was a mistake.

Agreed on all points. Cotto was looking to pick up Trout's strap and have a big money unification against Canelo. I was always nervous about that fight.

Not a cherry pick to me, but we're splitting hairs.
