Default SBO on ECL final night

It does not sound the best idea to me especially with the risk of extra time and penalties which could push the boxing back until after 10.30pm

Is Eddie hoping for a non British final? - Imagine if it was Man U v Arsenal?

A lot of people may go to the pub hoping to get a switchover to the main event after the trophy has been lifted

Footie for free then paying 15 for boxing on late

Hearn said in the press confrence he feels it will boost PPV sales. So its not a concern for them.

It didnt effect ticket sales for the fight.

Think it's a fairly good point too after thinking about it.

From a casual fans point of view loads will be tuned in watching the football with their mates, sky will push the fight like crazy so there a good chance they will sell more PPV with people either making a night of it or those watching the football having a last minute decision to watch the fight.

Downside from a fans point of view is I expect a poor undercard as the likelyhood is not many people will tune in until after 10

I just don't see that being Matchrooms MO. They want PPV to be a 3-4x a year gig not a one off. One of the reasons Sky ditched PPV for a long time was poor undercards.

I think we will see Frampton and Barker in meaningful fights.

Barker vs Lee
Frampton IBF Eliminator

Boxing fans buying tickets 3-4 months in advance is a different kettle of fish from casual fans deciding whether or not to turn over channels from a Champions league final to watch an undercard fight.

It'll be very interesting to see what happens over the undercard,

Hearns said Froch won't enter the ring until 11.30-12.00. They've anticipated what could happen but the main thing is sport fans staying in and buying the fight. Its going to make for a great night of sport. Can't wait.
