Everyone was supposed to be more complete than Calzaghe, but nobody managed to beat him.
Calzaghe is old, has damaged hands and is well past his best, so at worst would just clearly beat ward by UD. Prime Calzaghe would get rid of Ward inside the distance without great fuss. Ward was gassing against Froch and Bika, both were getting the better of Ward at the end of the fight respectively and slow Froch without the biggest workrate was getting to Ward at the end. Tell me which top undefeated fighters or undefeated world champs has Ward fought? |

How would Ward tie up Calzaghe when he would be taking flush shots on the chin and having to take short hooks and uppercuts when in close?

nah not stamina, I think that is Ward's weakness and later in his career he will get stopped late by a fighter who has no right to beat him.

he's had some injuries already at his age that could nag him. shoulder surgery is nothing to scoff at. we'll see about the stamina but he's had some not so minor injuries already.

So Ward is slower, has less stamina, doesnt punch as hard, doesnt have as good a chin, has a lower workrate, but you dummies think Ward can beat Calzaghe by holding him
and trying to be sneaky who has seen it all, who was successful in 24 world title fights when hardly ever on the back foot in his career. Yeah got it |

nah you're getting too fired up already. just calm down. the post i was responding too said ward's stamina was going to be his downfall later in his career. i was saying i see injuries being more of an issue than stamina.
