When was the last time he faced an A level fighter. In fact he never fought an A level fighter in his whole career.

The problem with this fight is the poor precedent it sets. A fighter (however deserving out of the ring and in sparring) can face shot or plain poor competition, go undefeated, and then get a shot at the champ without having been really tested.

I had the same complaints about Wach. He exceeded expectations, but then failed the drug test (and worse). Let's see how Pianeta does.

I guess I don't really have a problem with it as long as Wlad is facing at least 1 legit mandatory a year. But I wish boxing would structure itself better to force better matchups. The Mormeck/Thompson/Wach run should not have happened.

Totally untested and very green each of them going into the fight....

Williams had 1 decent win in Tillis
Witherspoon only decent 1 is Snipes
Bonecrusher has a good one over Bruno...but then lost 4 of his next 5.....

All 3 were Extreme hot and cold fighters as well
