One thing about Floyd Patterson, is that although he was outclassed by much larger fighters at the end of his career, he was never considered "shot", declined, yes, but never completely shot.

Saw a Brit fighter Michael Brodie who was decent in his day in his last fight. Think it was over in the first round. It was a bad one,the other lad was a journeyman fighter.

i was just thinking about jeff lacy then it dawned on me. rubin williams.
when i was getting into the sport williams was a contender and a prospect fought lacy won a few rounds then got ground down. one of allen greens and andre wards better wins on the come up. then. it just falls apart unraveling like a ball of whool.not a win in 6 years. almost unreal. and when i see the footage of him he looks like he is just cant create torque on his punches. |
