i think it really is gonna be Floyd vs Devon they canceled that date so fast, all along i knew this fight was too good to be true even the way Alexander agreed to fight him straight away and didnt vacate and try and get a bigger fight
i really wanted Brook to be tested, i think Zaveck is next behind Brook but what happens if Thurman beats him will it still be Brook vs Zaveck for the belt? |

Zaveck vs Thurman is a WBO eliminator. He might lose his IBF ranking for taking a WBO fight. Or he might pull out and fight Brook instead.

Meticulously trying to plan a route to a title was always in danger of falling flat on its arse. Boxing is all about taking chances, Alexander is taking his with Floyd and Brook should have taken his with Bradley which in my opinion was a very winnable fight, obviously St Edward didn't think so.

All the greats of the past must be turning in their graves....easier fights are the bane of this ****ing sport....I'd hold your breath on the IBF situation, lets wait for an announcement on that

Disagree. You don't sign a contract for shit money and maybe even with "options", when you have a mandatory shot coming up. Yes fighters should want to make the best fights, but there was no need to expect Brook to take on Bradley at that stage. Let him win a belt and then make fair money against Bradley. |

I defended Brook endlessly for passing up on Bradley. It seemed the right thing to do at the time given they were mando for the IBF. I still think long term it's the best thing for Brook. Some fighters don't need the buying power of a belt, Brook does. If he gets an easier touch to a title, at least the belt gives him some bargaining power at future negotiating tables |

Ironically Special K had been sparring with DeMarcus 'Chop Chop' Corley in preparation for his fight with Devon 'Quack Quack' Alexander
Another gutless yank ducking the Special one |

Imo Brook would've been beaten up by Bradley in very convincing fashion. A loss in the modern era causes a lot more damage to your career than it would've fifty years ago. It's irritating and I'd loved to have seen Brook vs Bradley but there you have it.
