By all accounts with this era's definitive fight between Povetkin and W. Klitschko all set to go ahead during the summer should the Vitali fight also be made? Bare in mind that Waldo is lining up a keep busy easy fight in the meantime. Ironically the last era, ie the Lewis era never got it's definitive fight between Lewis and Wladimir despite constant talk of having Vitali fed to Lewis as part of the build up. Why can't Povetkin do the above? His record against old/shot fighters is astonishing after all. As all of Bruce Seldon, Byrd, Rahman and Boswell can testifiy to. All were dominated and knocked the fuck off with ease.
As it is the Wlad Povetkin super fight will happen regardless but why have a mere super fight when you can have one of the greatest fights of all time? Why not indeed. Feed Vitali to Povetkin! |

I feel the tv rights will be the main factor. Which is going to make the coming years a bit tedious with possible matchups between Helenius, Wlad, Vitali, Banks, Pulev, Huck, Afolabi and Povetkin all being affected by this.

Yes.
Vitali is faded at age 41 and would probably be outworked by Povetkin. Povetkin has a good chin and would make the distance with Vitali, who doesn't put hard combinations together like he used to. It would make Wlad-Povetkin into a HUGE fight. Povetkin of course would have little or no chance against the still prime age 37 Wladimir. |

Wlad should fight the winner of Glazkov v Scott next. Solis/Oquendo are bums.
Then Scott v Povetkin. |

No. One because Vitali would knock the fuck out of Povetkin and two, it wouldn't be a Superfight even in this shocking Heavyweight Division.

I wouldn't consider Solis a bum because of one loss where he was also injured. He's still a good opponent for Wladimir compared to the zoo of bums in the division.

![]() ![]() Even 41 year old Vitali beats Povetkin. Povetkin would eat a ton of Jabs and slapping left hooks his face would be a mess. |
