No the fuck he ain't. Flomos need to stop perpetuating this LIE. Floyd fucked up Mosley in the clinches and NEVER looked like the smaller fighter. Floyd has refused to step on the fight night scale for a reason. |

I believe he could campaign at 140 if he wanted to... But being the main draw in boxing he can choose what weight he fights at, and seemingly won't go down to a weight that would hinder his performance or camp at all. He'll go up in weight to give the big name 154lb guys a shot without draining them any, and probably feels he shouldn't have to drain himself any either for smaller guys.

Looks similar size to cotto Looks a similar size to ortiz who is a know big weight cutter (comes in the ring 165+, Im sure i remember seeing him weight in at 168 fight night for one of his fights) In my opinion Floyd probably enters the ring anywhere from 155-160 fight night, but we will never know because he doesn't weight in on fight night. |

He's smallish as a welter when you consider he's a good few inches shorter than guys like Oscar and Tito who ruled 10+ years ago. Small compared to other historical champs like Leonard and particularly Hearns, who was absolutely massive at that weight.
I've always thought well built guys 5'7/5'8 like Floyd and Tszyu are very well suited to 140lb's, which Kostya showed. When Kostya gave up height at 140, he was isually clearly stronger than his opponents, given Floyd always comes in looking great, I'm sure he could still boil down if he wanted to. Lets give the guy some credit though, he's clearly gone up divisions to look for other challenges, pitching his great skills against guys who have some real natural size advantages against him. PAC has followed a similar route and while many criticise their opponents there, I think it's the mark of an exceptional fighter, taking on guys who are naturally a lot bigger. Yes, he could fight at 140lb still but we should be all thankful he doesn't, calling him lazy was a bit off. |

Floyd can make 140, chooses not to. He enjoys not having to cut roughly 10lbs.
He weighs 149-151 in the ring. |

Floyd is a normal sized welterweight now as a light middleweight champion. He was a small welterweight when he fought Baldomir, who was a big welterweight that won the title off a small welterweight, who won the title off a normalish sized welterweight who fought for the middleweight title against a future super middleweight contender who was knocked out by a super middleweight titlist who was short for a super middleweight.

Agreed. He has to lose like 5lbs to make 147... and that happens automatically in any training camp. So essentially he just needs to sharpen the tools and the whole weight losing thing works itself out.
