He never really faced the high risk, low reward guys like Winky Wright, Tyszu and Forrest. He or Arum also avoided rematches with Quartey and Whitaker. He did face most the top guys at 147 and 154.

The Quartey fight was stalled for a long time too, Arum used the lure of a big money fight to stop Quartey signing for other fights. For his run from '97-'99 he was nicknamed Chicken Delahoya, then in '99 the 2 big controversial unifications with Quartey and Trinidad. Quartey was 18months inactive recovering from malaria and Trinidad was weight drained, he deserved to be 1-1 in reverse for those fights.

The Mosley fight was a big fight, but Forrest was the top welterweight after Trinidad and Quartey left WW, which he later proved.

Even the Hopkins fight may seem ballsy but he did get a 38yo middleweight to come down to a 157 catch weight.

However he did not duck Winky as he offered Winky 6million to fight, which probably was only about 10% of the fights worth but it was still an offer. Oscar was also coming off a loss and Winky was P4P at this time.
