Why is it a celebration for the champion to fight the contender in the division. That should be the way it's supposed to go.

Well if he indeed put his foot down to make the Trout fight happen, then mad props indeed! Taking a huge risk to prove he's as good as people have been saying he is, like it should be!

A lot of things that are supposed to happen in the sport of boxing don't actually happen, because fighters and their handlers (mostly the latter) have too much room to keep them from happening. When a fighters goes against his handlers' wishes to MAKE **** HAPPEN, we should be glad as boxing fans.

I'm glad Canelo didn't fight Cotto and instead Trout fought him, Cotto would of gotten a beating that night. Alvarez MD12 Trout

Freddy forgets this Savior fighting a 140lber in his last fight.

A guy who'd not even held a belt at 140.

i don't know what's all the excitement about.

canelo/gbp can't be blowing up ww or digging up graves for canelo to fight forever. i don't think they had any choice, fans have been grumbling and would have finally turned against canelo if he continued to do what he's been doing.

Canelo's fans turn against him for fighting blown up past their prime fighters? Na it worked for Pacman. Plus Canelo's 23 not 33 like Pacquiao.

still dunno why people are making a big deal over Canelo actually taking a real fight. Isn't that what he is supposed to be doing'? More props to Trout for fighting anyone.
