He might be lacking opponents to test him but when he fights its an "event" rather than a boxing match. and Canelo v troot on the undercard is a huge bonus too I still worry though that guys like Floyd, Pac, Marquez, Cotto etc are all nearing the end of their respective careers and surely we will miss them when they're gone but in all fairness I remember feeling that way when the 'fab four' were retiring and more recently when Naz, Barrera, Morales (1st retirement lol ) Chi, JC and many more were gone too. Boxing always finds a new hero/villain champ/challenge and after being in the spotlight for over 100 years we should maybe have a little faith that its far from over There are plenty of guys up and coming at the moment (my avatar included) and I look forward to enjoying the many careers of champions in the future and the fact we can all debate about who is or isnt gonna make it is what its all about. Dunno if any of you guys noticed but sometime I tend to blether on and forget what my original point was (although I blame the vino lol) |

Do any of you guys remember the skysports boxing event called "judgement night" with a huge british card of a few world titles ending with Naz fighting and then over to america for many more title fights ending with a tyson bout. There were several big names on the card and some of them who were unheard of back then but became big names after that. Call me a sceptic but im sure they were spoiling us with those early PPV's in order to encourage us to accept paying for the bigger fights on top of what we were for skysports. As the years have drawn on and the promoters have gotten fatter and richer the PPV nights have gotten a wee bit.....em for want of a better word.....shyter or pisher lol

In fact I think this boxrec page says it all, look near the bottom of the page at the fights on the Naz card and the fights from the US including the Tyson Holy fight and imagine how good it was when you truly believed PPV was well worth the ££££
