Default When do you think women boxers will headline PPV's?

UFC is already starting to promote Rousey to no end and she's becoming HUGE. Some say she could sell as well or POSSIBLY even better than Lesnar when he was still in UFC.

Any chance we'll be seeing women boxers headline some Friday fight nights or PPV events?

Will boxing take the same route? Will promoters start getting their hands on women boxers?

Discuss.

I think its becuz most women's boxing are mismatches

That's the reason it took so long for Dana to finally get a female division

There's not that many competitive fights

I mean, Ali-Frazier 4 only sold becuz of that name, the fight was ****

It's not like women's boxing hasn't been around for a while. There is no shortage of decent male fighters out there to make a demand for women's fights. I mean if they stuck it on an under card and you're already watching then fine but otherwise most men aren't going to go out of their way to watch a chic fight.

It seems like UFC fans pay for the brand not necessarily the product. You can run just about anyone to the cage and the same guys are going to order it. I doubt the main event is the main reason why some tune in.

Either way I'll pass. I already get my fill of fights as it is, don't need to watch women fighting.

lol.... it'll be another 1st round armbar for Rousey....
Liz Carmouche isnt even one of the top female fighters, just one willing to go against Rousey and get shamed on TV(tougher ones declined). She's just a B caliber fighter. Rousey already had cleaned out her division and beat prior champs, all by 1st round armbar....

I dont forsee women's boxing to pop on the scene big by any means soon...
It will take....

1) Stronger development and competition (Dana White's reason of not having a women's division)

or

2) Attractive and charismatic girl who's legitimately smoking out and outclassing everyone (Rousey effect - reason why Dana White decided on creating a women's division AROUND her)

There was a young gal in the 2012 Olympics who got our only gold medal in boxing, and she basically smoked out the competition. She may have the Rousey effect one day....
