Who are some well-known boxers who have been beaten by opponents who were past their 40th birthday?
I'll start: Kelly Pavlik (by B-Hop) Jean Pascal (by B-Hop) Ronald Wright (by B-Hop) Antonio Tarver (by B-Hop) Manuel Charr (by Vitali Klitschko) Fres Oquendo (by Oliver McCall, Evander Holyfield, James Toney) David Haye (by Carl Thompson) Lou Savarese (by Evander Holyfield) Any others? |

Everyone Archie Moore beat past the year 1956. It's about 30 guys, so I'd rather not list them all out, but there's some real good ones in there.
Sam Langford scored a 2nd round KO over ATG Tiger Flowers when he was 40 (I think) and just about blind. Foreman has Moorer and co. Bob Fitzsimmons has wins over guys like George Gardner and Philadelphia Jack O'Brien while in his early 40's. Ray Robinson has quite a few as well, notably Ralph Dupas and Denny Moyer. Duran beat Middleweight contender Jorge Castro when he was about 46, and a few other guys, of course. |

Lou Savarese has been beaten by two men over 40, but Fres Oquendo has been defeated by three. Does Oquendo hold the record for being beaten by the most boxers past 40?
