I'd say Cotto should go for the rematch. 1, he's not likely to take concussive damage in the event he loses again. 2, I thought the fight was competitive enough. 3, it's a test he can directly compare with his performance last time out to gauge where he's at & whether he should continue.

I agree. I've seen a wide range of scores for this fight, but Cotto was able to get in his powershots late.

I think one could say that he deserves a rematch, simply because he made Trout by giving him an opportunity. Do I think the outcome would be any different? No. Trout W 12. I hope this is all just hypothetical. I am rooting for Canelo to beat Trout. I am picking him too. Canelo W 12. WAR CANELO!!!

You all need to cut it out with that Cotto gave Trout an opportunity, an opportunity at what? Cotto was not the Champion Trout was and the way Trout and his family was treated during the weigh in and press tour **** Cotto he can go find someone else to fight.

The **** you mean the champs family gets the door closed on them when they attempt to attend the weigh in the **** kind of shit is that? Trout gave Cotto an opportunity at his world title end of ****ing story

Rematch trout LMAO

Dude should go to 147 and fight people his own size, real JR MW will **** him up... none of that old ass mayorga, one eyed margarito that was getting close to whip that ass before pacquiao helped cotto get a TKO, and one legged foreman, real JR MW's will **** him up...feather fisted trout left cotto looking like he had been in a life and death fight...

come on now

get some fire back come in great shape like an elite fighter and go to 147, those love handles at 154 aren't cutting it and no I call BS on him having a conditioning coach and his trainer having a degree helping cotto... because he always looks the same at the weigh in... hire Memo or Ariza and watch how real elite fighter come into shape, and can go full 12...

if not just retire...

its not that he lost clearly, Honeslty i think he over trained for that fight, its just the fact that hes NOT a LMW. Cotto went in that ring with all the odds against him hieght, reach, strength, youth, fresher fighter ect.. he shouldnt go for the rematch.

I just think those fights would be better suited for Miguel both guys are older like he is Bunderage can be out worked he is slow and predictable something Miguel can handle what he cant handle is allowing Bunderage to get that right hand off he can crack.
Smith would be a great boxing match both have a similar style I would like to see how that plays out.

This he lost 7-5 8-4.... so he didn't do that bad for the hard fighter he took.

He's just not a LMW. He needs to get his lazy ass to 147 and hire a REAL conditioning coach cause whatever he has ain't cutting it.

I would love to see Angulo-Cotto though, It would probably be like Margo Cotto 1

You act like Cotto showed up and shut the doors himself.
