Default Thompson Not Keen on Rematch

B24

He claims he was vastly underpaid but just took fight and if they want rematch they will have to come over to U.S and pay him what he's worth.

And rightly so! Reckon with his experience he'd do a job on Price again?

Thompson, who courted controversy last week by calling for doping to be allowed in sport, admitted he was tested after beating Price.

"I didn't mind them drug testing me," he said. "I knew there would be a lot of controversy about what I said and that they'd want to pull out the needles, jab me and poke me, even though they didn't put it in the contract.

"I sat there like a good bloke and did what they asked. All they're going to find is doughnut juice and fried chicken. There's nothing artificial there.

"How could you look at this belly and think I'm on something?"

He's got Price's number mate for sure. Reason i say that look at his hand placements. Very relaxed, not in greatest shape. When Price landed not one bad reaction. Calm and in control and lands one shot in anger and it's over.

I think it was no fluke it was well worked and easily done. Price would have to make major adjustments because he was really landing as regular as he has in past. He got over eager and didn't look in control when Thompson tried counter.

F*cking fried chicken, he was alllllllllllllllways gonna say that!

Bloke is as down to earth as your gonna see, 41 and he shocked the whole of Liverpool. The silence was golden. Complete and utter silence and disbelief, with a big black man in the ring shouting "I told you" "I told you"

He shouldn't have to fight Price, until Price deserves a rematch, which is not now. Thats just the way the cookie crumbles.

The question is....who exactly is necks for Tony Thompson?

He's right, he doesn't have to give Price a rematch. He knocked Price out in the second round and David didn't land anything on him he won cleanly and doesn't have to do anything. If Maloney and Price really want a rematch then Frank is going to have to get his chequebook out (if he even has one) and David's going to have to go over to Thompson's back yard this time.

Growth hormone causes large pot bellies. And steroids don't automatically go hand in hand with six packs

Nice in theory but wheres the money coming from if the rematch happens in America? He should be paid more for the rematch but it'll have to be in the UK if money is his main priority.

But he'll know that. Sounds like he's just playing hard ball....and good luck to him!

I think Price will duck like Khan did with Prescott. Maloney's ticker couldn't take another demolition anyway.

I agree Gaz, I think he knows he's just shot himself back into contention. For all the comments about Price being exposed etc it's still a massive win and Thompson knows it was make or break for his career.

I never get impression Thompson enjoys boxing .
