Default Audley Harrison vs Povetkin

If Eddie can get him some careful ranking fights with the WBA and he somehow manages to win them this could get him a potential shot at Povetkin.

Povetkin would love that fight as he would see it as another easy defense.

Could Audley beat him?

Smack a counter left hand off his jaw and be a world champion

Take away the mental aspect of the game and I honestly think that Audley could have beaten anyone, unfortunately the mental aspect of the sport is a large part of it.

I can see this happening In fact I just knew this would be the route Audley would want to go down and like you say I'm pretty sure Povetkin and his team will not object to the fight.

A-Force 2 time World Champion 2013.

I can't see him beating Povetkin, and even if he did, he wouldn't be a world champion.

Audley will just fold again. He's not going to find the missing key in his 40s.

Even Haye said he looked the best he ever has done since the 2000 Olympics, fighting with his hands down, not scared of hitting or getting hit, using his left power shot every time the other guy steps in, using his jab as a weapon and even coming forward as a counter-puncher.

But he's being realistic and saying he would like Richard Towers next, who is rated by the WBA.

The WBA should be ashamed of themselves.

He did, he looked fantastic, but he was fighting Claus Bertino (who?), an old and slow and tired Martin Rogan, and Derric Rossy who had just had 6 very tough rounds and wasn't going to take much more punishment before he went.

It wasn't exactly difficult to look good against that sort of opposition.

But it was all about him - in nearly all his previous wins he looks bad and gets away with it, always seems to be doing the wrong thing, waiting too long for counters that usually never come but sometimes do. This time he looked effortlessly above the competition.

Bertino was a decent solid comeback fight after being KO'd in 1 himself before - 1st round KO.
Rogan was on fire after KOing Sosnowski out the ring and Harrison was leagues above him.
Rossy was just the icing on the cake, both of them already had 2 bouts and Harrison toyed with him like nothing.

This time he was fluid and doing everything he needed to in the best way for his style. He says this is the best of him and if he loses now then he can retire fine because he finally found his true boxing essense

He really does talk balls. He had found himself when he smashed Danny Williams to pieces, apparently, then lost himself in the very next fight!

Williams only had one week notice anyway.

I've watched live boxing since the mid-Hamed days so I actually saw those first Harrison fights.

This was the first time he actually looked fully confident in the ring and it was the best he's looked as a professional, in his best condition too and at 41.

He wasn't decent at all. One punch and he fell asleep. You might as well forget that fight ever happened.

He didn't KO him out the ring. I believe Sosnowski got back in the ring.

Harrison was leagues above him, yes, because Rogan was old and knackered and in poor condition, and as we've just discussed, Harrison had barely thrown a punch in his first fight.

Rossy was ****ed and had taken a bit of a beating already.

Harrison was impressive, but his opposition was poor.

Povetkin is levels above what he faced in Prizefighter.
