BIG DEE HERE= Quarry by 7th rd KO, Dokes hasn`t the punch to keep Jerry off of him and also the chin. Quarry carries the punch, speed, chin and boxing ability to KO Dokes or Dec. him.

BIG DEE HERE= Your dreaming as usual. Dokes barely beat Tex Cobb and got the shit beat out of himself by Gerrie Coetzee. Quarry would have used both for punching bags in his prime.

Dokes at his very (rare) best (ie: from the '89 fight against Holyfield) would have a great chance of defeating Quarry. Other than that he was generally too erratic to make a clear fave, despite possessing quick hands, respectable power and his fair share of ability. His lifestyle and drug-use negated his career, though and like so many it's a case of "what might have been" in terms of what he could've achieved given more consistency and discipline.
Close'un to call, but overall Quarry was the better fighter. |

this fight was first brought up in an issue of KO mag which Quarry was selected as the winner (Edge given to Quarry by W). I think Quarry could take Mike's best but I don't know if Mike could keep it up for 10 rounds. Off what I saw in the 1st Weaver fight, Ultimate Dynamite Dokes takes out Quarry in 8. Prove me wrong.
