like I often said, natural, prime floyd (arguably gatti fight) was taller and bigger than prime pacquiao (arguably his second fight with morales), also his technic is better, but reach and sheer size would play a big role. a same size, same reach, same weight contest is a nightmare vision for floyd. why? because the one fight who showed how you could beat floyd was relentless 12 round attack, vicious attacks. like jose luis castillo did and well nobody will argue manny was stronger, faster, harder puncher and even more energy and condition than jlc, therefore manny would just force floyd to an TKO in late rounds. yet floyd would win some rounds, just because he is technical such a superb boxer. close one, but p4p manny beats floyd and therefore is higher on my list of atg, also the list of achievemants speaks for itself.

mayweather
hopkins
marquez

the bold area could not happen if you make adjustments in weight because PBF and Pac are now the same weight. So if you adjust him proportionately (say arm length) , he would be a lot heavier and taller . . . that means he would be slower and less active. I like the way you think (because that is the way I look at the P4P ratings. H2H I see PBF as a clear favourite (peak v peak), based strictly on style . . . Manny footwork sucks (despite what some fans say) and he is easily timed by a true elite fighter. SO p4p I rank PBF higher, H2H I rank PBF higher, and record is close (i do not put to much on an 0 or the modern 8 weightclass). SO ATG I give the clear edge to PBF.

I think Bhop has a bit of a case but I rank them:

1) PBF
2) Pac
3) Bhop
4) JMM

Marquez

Manny is a blatant drug cheating cherry picka
Floyd is a cherry picka
Hopkins made a career of beating smaller men

Marquez has fought everyone, and has only 1 true loss on his record

Personally, I think a case can be made for either, probably a weaker case for Marquez but its close between Hopkins, Mayweather and Pacquaio in my book.

Hopkins run has to be respected and his amazing longevity, he never lost badly and beat some big names, even if his tactics were sometimes questionable/boring.

Pacquaio being the first 8 division champion (despite an * beside the 8th) obviously is huge, for a guy who started out hiding weights in his pockets to make the minimum weight when he started. His resume is probably the best of the lot imo with wins over HOF'ers ATG's such as Morales, Barerra, Marquez (I gave him the first and draw second). Great offensive skills and heart/chin (as do all mentioned, really)

Mayweather is possibly the most skilled of the bunch and the most defensively sound. The 0 is a big talking point, I had him losing to Castillo 1 but whatever way you look at it he dominated most of his opponents. I think history will lay more blame on him than Pacquaio for the fight not happening and other fights too during his 'retirements:' Personally I don't think his resume is quite as strong as others. However, he exemplifies the old saying 'hit and don't get hit' more than any on the list.

Overall, I'd tentatively put them in this order

Pacquaio
Hopkins
Mayweather
Marquez

I expect Mayweather to slide into the top spot once their careers are over. First three are in the same tier, though. Unfortunately for Marquez, despite his brilliant ability, he doesn't have the resume or the depth the other three do.

PBF ranks ahead of all of them. Pac is too limited and too flawed to be considered the best. The shit he got KTFO with shows you how amateurish Pac really was. Elite fighters don't walk into shots like that.

If he's so amatuerish and not elite then how come he has wins over ATGs?
