I'd love to see a rematch, ideally where Thompson makes big money. I think the first two rounds were inconclusive to predict how the fight would have gone before the KO came. I could see either Price's age and power finally ending things, or maybe Thompson getting a stoppage later from a good chin shot. Or maybe Price winning on the cards, perhaps controversially. Who knows? What's clear is Thompson was underrated going into that fight. Maybe it was viewed as a step up, but they clearly didn't expect it to go like that

I have a feeling we may never see Wlad fighting Price now. Maybe Price will learn from this and improve, but it's going to slow his progression significantly and by the time he's ready Wlad should be retired. Up to the 2nd round KO it was clear Price is still nowhere near the level of WK

Obviously a bad setback for David, but think he can still do well, good enough to be European champion, probably not world, even in todays poor division minus the brothers.I think he MUST rematch Tony, but somebody's gonna have to pay him plenty of money to come here again. And IMO to stop it hanging over him it must be this year before possibly Fury beats Thompson and makes it null and void.I like Price, but when I look at previous world champions he doesn't quite fit,the British media have built this into something it clearly isn't.Again.

I believe he can. No means a fan of the Britards, but one loss to an experienced guy is not the end of things.

It does. Put your left hand down like that against Wlad and it's game over.

I generally agree but I don't believe he has to fight Thompson again. Wlad didn't rematch Sanders or Purrity and he's done alright. Nowadays practically nobody would give RP any chance against Wlad, and as stylistically well matched as Sanders is against even prime Wlad, he'd be far from the favourite in that fight either. I can see the benefit of rematching Thompson immediately, but there's a big risk too. Where does he go if he loses again? TT will definitely not be a 10/1 underdog this time, and he'll be even more confident than last time.

Its not the fault of Price.
You can blame the brittards.

He hasn't got a prayer. Never mind all this where the punch landed loss of equalibriam bullshit. If a cuff around the ear has him going down and resembling Bambi what's he going to do when a proper punch lands on him, especially by a Klit?
