Initially, when I saw this thread, I did as well.

That said, it sucks that Sanchez, along with others, had to die like that. RIP.

I remember this guy in a fight against Demarcus Corley, it was televised by ESPN and he didnīt look good. Anyway, it sucks that he was killed, RIP.

Damn, right when Puerto Rico was recovering from losing the Boxing Legend and Icon Hector Camacho Sr. another boxer gets gunned down.

Very sad news:

Shit man, I remember watching him box against Julio Diaz just a few months ago, having last seen him against Vincent Arroyo on ShoBox a year before.

Not that it would be less sad were it an unknown who'd never been televised and only fought 4-rounders, but having firsthand experience of following someone's career drives it even further home. Surreal. 26. Just stepped out for a minute and caught up. Damn.

He did alright in his career. He beat Chop Chop Corley on FNF back in 2009, along with a handful of fellow prospects and some high-level journeymen. All three of his losses were to decent fighters (Diaz, Arroyo who popped Willie Nelson's cherry, and longtime Margarito sparring partner Cleotis Pendarvis who's currently on a nice run)
