I don’t think this is good for Broner’s career. When it comes to creating a solid legacy across multiple divisions, Broner almost has the complete package – skills, reach, size, etc. But here they’re already moving him up to the division where he’ll max out, without giving him a chance to rack up decent wins at 135 and 140. You can understand why HBO are wanting to do this (all of the decent opponents at 135 and 140 are on different networks), but I don’t see why GBP would agree with it.

Malignaggi was slapped silly by Pablo Cano. Broner would merk him worse than Demarco. Cherry pick.

Easy win for Broner, 140lbs gets a dick in the ass & Adrien smiles all the way to the bank.

Malignaggi would beat Rios, and take 3-4 rounds off of Mattysee. Also 50/50 against judah. Tough fight for Broner.
Definitely not a cherry pick.

Both sides are really interested in making the fight and isn't just talk.

As I have said before Im not on the Broner bandwagon yet but I think the kid is exciting to watch BUT why miss out 140lbs? Im not against it but there are ALOT of good names there.

If he goes to 147lbs lets suppose he gets through Paulie who next? Devon is his friend, Marquez who is promoted by Top Rank so that fight ain't happening, then there is Floyd his "big bro"

Weird choice personally.

Anyway if Broner carriers his power up (BIG if), then Paulie is going to lose....
Interesting fight but a major leap from anything he's ever experienced as a pro. Paulie isn't heavy handed but skill wise he's operating at a very high level. He's fast and accurate. His problem is his lack of power and brittle hands. But Adrien is jumping not 1 but 2 weight classes. Not an easy thing to do but out of all the quality welterweights Paulie presents the least risk....no one knows if Broner can handle such an extreme change. Physically it's a process that usually takes a couple of years of steady progression, but sometimes special athletes prove exceptions can be made and Broner is a special kid....he's a problem but he may not be as big a problem at 147. Logically, I'm inclined to roll with Paulie because he can hold his own against the best at 147. He's proven....Adrien will surprise me if he is able to carry his power and speed up with him but I hope he does.

I'd pick both Vasquez & Burns to take a 2013 version of Paulie aswell let alone the 140lbs guys...

Rios got schooled by Abril. Why would you think he can beat Paulie? Hell atleast admit itd be a close fight?

Slick and Italian. Not as cagey, but exceptional ability to fight off the backfoot and spoil.
