Default Did Lennox fight the most punchers in heavyweight history?

He's got a good chin. The chin is underrated.

If you look at the sheer amount of big punchers he fought. It's staggering.

Mason (35-0 100% KO Ratio)
Golota
Ruddock
Briggs
Tua
Vitali
2002 Tyson
RahmanI II
Mccall I II
Morrison

Morrison and Tua are very underrated punchers.. I mean people think of them as 'big punchers' but I think Tua's power was on par with Shavers if not better. Morrison can make a serious case for top 15 puncher of all times.

Yes Ive thought about this quite a bit. Lewis's chin must be respected. Not elite
but a great chin he surprised me with his chin against Mercer, stayed on his feet
against bruno, ate a couple of hooks from Tua. Lewis pretty much neutralized and koed
ruddock and Morrison. Dont recall if Morrison landed a decent hook against Lewis i don't
think so. Ruddock may have landed a right hand or two. Lewis took a bit of punishment
from Iron Mike as well, lets not go there though. Hes up their for facing the most dangerous punchers, Ali has faced Foreman, liston, lyle, so he is prob number 1.
Holy is right there too, he faced Bowe, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis, Mercer!
personally though I don't believe Lewis could have survived Foreman Liston Bowe or a
better version of Tyson's power.

I'd say Evander has a good case to rival him.

Even more impressive when you realise he was outsized in most of his fights.

I'd probably have him in the top 3, with Ali and Holyfield.

Lewis probably fought more actual bangers but some of them didn't really have the boxing skills to try and land - others couldn't take the power that Lewis had.

It wasn't often that he was in a real war, the Mercer and Klitschko fights are probably the only real ones.... Briggs to a lesser extent.

Morrison and Ruddock were executed, as was Golota.

Lewis trumps Ali imo, and Holyfield is probably above Ali too with his punchers resume.

The three biggest punchers Ali fought were probably Liston, Foreman and Shavers.

Lennox has Tua, Tyson and Morrison in his top three. Not much in it really, though I'd say Tua tips the balance in Lennox's favour.

After that I'd say Lennox has a clear advantage in "second tier" punchers by virtue of sheer numbers. Rahman, Ruddock, Bruno, Briggs, Vitali, Mercer, Mason, McCall, Golota, even Evander (underrated puncher). That's a pretty long line of guys who could all put your lights out with only a handful of shots.

Ya. I agree. but let's not forget Holyfield LOST a fair amount of those fights.
Lewis lost 2 but won the rest and the 2 he lost he avenged.

I thin kin terms of OVERALL punchers. Lewis is definitely ahead of the pack. The top 3 like you said could go towards Ali... but if you add in the 2nd tier 'big punchers' Lewis is head and shoulders above most.
