Default Kelly Pavlik was wayyyy better than GGG

Pavlik had problems with fighters who didn't stand in front of him and gave him angles. But still his skills was beyond anything GGG has. So what do u think will happen when someone gives GGG a little movement?

GGG fans will say the boxer ran all night but we all know what it is.

Well it's acually pretty hard to tell since Golovkins is pretty much in the beginning of his championship career.

Pavliks career is over so we have to wait and see. Pavlik like Golovkin was great at what they did/does, knocking out people and bringing boxing excitment. Let's leave it at that.

His amateur experience, including wins over the likes of Dirrell will kick in. He's beaten runners before and he will again.

Also, GGG isn't an alcoholic. He takes the sport seriously and is striving to get betterq

I was talking to Billy Lyle and he was telling me about some am film he has of Kelly and said his speed was just incredible. Someone posted an article about the effects on the brain the longer you box. Alcohol was probably the symptom/cure? for that. He did well to get out when he did because the slowing may not have been from the alcohol.

he has had 8 WBA title fights...and in his 8th fight gives a junior middleweight his 3rd loss in a row.

ggg has yet to beat an edison miranda or a prime jt caliber-type fighter.

ffs, he hasnt even beaten a rubio yet.

at this time, comparing ggg to pavlik is almost as bad as the idiots here that compare canelo to vargas only because ggg has had a stellar amatuer career to even warrant the discussion, whereas canelo did not.

They're 1-1 vs each other, but nobody mentions Dirrell's win

It also wasn't the Super belt, the higher ranked belt of the two.

I think it's a damn shame they were half a generation apart and we don't get to find out h2h.

As much as Pavlik vs. Abraham seems like a lost mint in terms of action (mostly because it was so possible for so long, dangled in front of us like a carrot on the race track...or Swifty the mechanical rabbit, if we're talking dogs instead of horses) I think Pavlik vs. Golovkin would've been 10x the fortune in breathless fun.

GGG has everything AA had, and more.
