The brunt of it for me lies in Holmes' inability to carry a sustained offense after the seventh round. He gassed, and I saw Spinks take over.
I can actually respect that.

Some fighters handle punches differently. It's harder, in subtle occasions, to see whether a man is actually hurt.

Obviously, there are times when it is blatantly obvious a man is badly dazed, but I suppose the round is then usually won by the barrage of follow up offense, or by a big knockdown.

Interesting way to think about it.

I scored Holmes-Spinks I 9-6 for Spinks.

I scored Holmes-Spinks II 8-7 for Holmes.

I scored Hagler-Leonard 7-5 for Leonard.

I recently scored Whitaker vs. DLH 114-112, Oscar. I have scored it the other way, and have scored it a draw. That point coming off for the accidental cut is such a bs rule.

Five flush power punches to two wild hooks...and you score for the fighter who lands two wild hooks. Explain this, please.

I don't know that I like that method of scoring. I definitely think it's a close exchange because Forrest is rattled, but I can't give a guy points for chin, it's not a scoring criteria. You don't get points for eating shots and smiling.

for me, mayorga comes off on top and that's why i think he wins the exchange.

If you don't score that point for Oscar (which I believe is the just thing to do) I don't know how Oscar could come out on top. If you give him that 10-8 round... I suppose you could score it a draw or maybe just maybe a Oscar win. I just don't think it's right to do so, and even with that point I have Whitaker winning or a draw at worst.

A fighter who lands 5 flush power punches in a row, then the other fighter responds with 2 wild hooks right after them. You cannot score for the fighter who lands the 2......

The youtube clip you showed....it was all untidy work by both.

I apologise for not having a perfect memory. I had hoped me posting the clip would show exactly what happened.
