Maybe you should find Marvin's email adress and tell him he wasn't aggressive regarding Duran? Maybe he wanted Duran to beat him?

I believe you also made the point Hearns was able to hit harder at middleweight than Hagler.

Amnyway, I guess if Hagler went all out (assuming he didn't... assuming Hagler likes to lose) VS Duran it wouldn't have went to decision.

Hearns at 154 had bigger one punch power then Hagler at 160, I really can't see how thats disputed??

Hearns undoubtably has more one punch power at 160 than Hagler. Quite a bit.

I don't have his E-mail address, and no idea where I could find it. I don't need to tell him he wasn't aggressive regarding Duran. He knows it, the whole world seen it with their own eyes. Not sure he wanted Duran to beat him. But in hindsight his strategy wasn't what it should have been, although Duran's defensive awareness and ring intelligence never helped Hagler's performance.

I believe so. And I also believe that Hearns at jr middleweight had more power than Hagler. "Pound for pound" power. Example: Bob Foster had more authoritive and raw power at light-heavyweight than Chris Byrd did at heavyweight. That power difference there is larger right enough.

.

That we shall never know.

Based on KO win percentages, John?

Even given the weight, for one punch a 154 Hearns hit harder than a 160 Hagler. Theres no need for Hagler to hit at 154 for that comparision.

Not to mention anyone with two open eyes can see the differences on common opponents both at 160, above, and below.

Oh, although this is mainly a Duran failure thread. Oh great one, how is Hearns such a more accomplished puncher than Hagler at a similar weight?

Hagler wore opponents down and Hearns KO'd them. At whatever weight inbetween 154 and 160 Hearns had the bigger one punch IMO.
