Default David Price v.s Ondrej Pala 3/29

Good fight.... Pala had Chisora hurt a few times, and was in the fight before becoming a victim of a terrible 'British' stoppage, definitely deserves this fight. Who do you guys have?

It would be a legitimate scalp for Price, maybe even his best to date - but, Pala is a mediocre puncher at best (mind you, that could still be enough to wreck Price with dented resistance...but in terms of raw power this is a step down from Airich) so they are still playing it safe with Price's whiskers even while matching him 'tough'. Brilliant matchmaking, actually.
A lot will depend on whether Pala is up for this as much as he was Chisora. If he brings that same fire, Price could be in trouble not only with the double vision Thompson demon looming close in his memory (with Ruzsinszky doing very little to restore his confidence unless Price is utterly delusional), but honestly Price has never had to go into deep waters against good opponents...and never past the sixth, period.

Quality insight as always IB ... I agree, would be a good scalp for Price, but definitely careful matchmaking on the part of his promoters. Pala isn't the hardest hitter out there, but definitely could spark Price if he lands the right shot....

If Price doesn't get him out of there early, it could well end up very badly for Price later on in the fight.

You might be right. Price hasn't proved that he can fight past the early rounds, if he can't bomb Pala out early he might be an easy knockout for Pala in the mid-late rounds... Conditioning seemed to be a major issue in the second Thompson fight, so hopefully Price has been working hard with his team to fix it.

Wasn't that what they were supposedly doing for the Thompson rematch, working on his cardio almost exclusively?

Lennox Lewis was even in his camp, installing a bed in his locker room so he could preserve energy.

Pala is a live dog but I still favor Price. Pala can dent Price's chin but I think Price is perfectly capable of denting Pala's chin as well---and probably faster.

The Chisora stoppage was awkward.
Pala is not that bad. He's a tough cookie for Price.

If Price loses this one, his 'World Championship' career is over.

Price was very robotic in his lasts going out. Hopefully he is more relaxed now and we can see some action from him. Price hits harder than freaking Wilder. This should be over in ther first 3-4

Saurland is not going to risk the promise of Price in his second fight with them. I think he wins by KO if not he should retire. He needs to find a calming trainer like Steward did with Klitschko. He looks terribly uptight and burns up too much nervous energy. If he can relax himself and get few wins under his belt I think he will be heard from again in a big fight. He has skill and is a huge puncher. Their is always a place for that in the HW division.
