I supported him when he fought in Germany twice, i dont have to support the guy for every fight just because he is from Tasmania lol To gain recognition in the US its not a matter of just fighting there, Mundine proved that when he fought Go Cart. It does help he is on a HBO show but its BAD, which is just about the same as being on ESPN. You can only showcase your skills if you have the audience and style. Geales style is boring, even Green has suggested this, his style is suited for the Euro Circuit because he has the type of style the Euros like, he doesnt have the style that Americans or Australians like, thus his lack in drawing the AUS public in.

The purse will be nothing to gloat about. BAD has a budget, they wont pay him more than the budget, he may earn a little extra from PPV sales in AUS but they wont be much given the AUS public has not warmed to him.

Mundine fought McKart - Geale is fighting Barker
Mundine had no title - Geale has the IBF
Mundine fought on doo hickey thingamejig channel - Geale is fighting on HBO

No comparison. The purse is good. Middleweights want his title. Its the a step in the right direction. Been to Germany twice, now the US. Nothing more to say

Its HBO BAD bro, Katsidis got better exposure than this in USA and he didnt even have a title. This will be make or break for Geale and honestly he does not have the style to make it in USA and im not being a hater, its fact.

No doubt about it, its better than fox sports fight night and a slight step up from ESPN fight nights but its by no means a HBO PPV card. Which says everything really.

Why isn't Geale fighting Golovkin in the States on HBO ? Surely thats a better fight with 2 of the top 3 middles fighting for the US audience.

He will never fight GGG mate, 20 days after he won the title from sturm a purse bid was called by GGGs people and Geale had not even contemplated fighting Mundine at the time and wasnt even intrested in fighting GGG. They will make up every excuse in the book to avoid GGG. The first excuse was that they were fighting for peanuts and it was on a small show, yet he is fighting for peanuts now and on a HBO BAD card.

Why didnt Geale go to the purse bid for the GGG fight that was called 20 days after he won the title from Sturm?

Why didn't HBO's people demand a Geale-Golovkin fight be on their network to then build up a mega unification for the winner to then fight Martinez ?

Look guys this debunks every one of Ty's arguments. Even Raphael and Tom Loeffler agree.

Quote:
"We don't blame Geale and his team for taking a safer fight," said K2 promoter Tom Loeffler, who promotes Golovkin. "However, they knew the obligations they would have prior to the Sturm fight. Geale is still IBF champion, and if he continues to win, this might be a great unification fight in the future."

Loeffler's position on Geale taking the safer fight is disingenuous. He knows well that Geale (28-1, 25 KOs) will make a lot more money by facing Mundine (44-4, 26 KOs) instead of Golovkin. If Golovkin (24-0, 21 KOs) were in the same position, Loeffler would have him take the more lucrative fight, too, and he knows it.
Ty is just being argumentative because he hates Geale.
