Default Battle of the Philly Legends...(?)

This is a question for the members who know their Philadelphia boxing...Was a fight between Gypsy Joe Harris and Bennie Briscoe ever discussed? Care to take a guess on the outcome?

Both Briscoe and Harris boxed out of the PAL gym in North Philly (PAL is the police athletic league and are in most big cities across the U.S east coast). It is a bit odd that they didn't fight in the 60s as they were local guys active in the same weight class. And Philly fighters fought each other at the drop of a dime back then.

Lou Lucchese was a Philly promoter at the time. He didn't make the match to my knowledge. Perhaps he ran out of time because Harris was done around 68 when when he got his license revoked for his blindness in one eye. Harris was only about 23.
