Default why is everyone saying Broner should avoid 140?

The real problem is at 147.

Garcia and Matthysse are very static and like to stand in front of opponents and trade which play in to Broners preference. I don't think they have the movement to frustrate Broner, although Danny has good timing he does not have the hand speed to win the battle up close or mid range with Broner who has better timing up close and Matthysse is very wild. Im not even going to mention Maidana.

Guys like Alexander, Bradley, Brook and even Khan would give him nightmares in the ring with the movement and work rate. A well timed jab on top of that and you have Broners kryptonite. For people who knew that Paulie would cause him problems would know that his blueprint is to take advantage of his slow foot movement and it happened and I would be more interested in seeing him come up against a younger version.

Im not sure why people are calling out for Garcia and Matthysse. The ironic thing is the people calling for him to fight Garcia and Matthysse want to see him lose convincingly but in reality there is more chance of seeing that at 147.

Personally I think 140 would suit him fine.

There are some very decent fights at the weight VS some tough opposition.

If Broner is the fighter he thinks he is (which I personally don't think he is) then he should be able to take out the likes of Garcia, Matthysse etc.

After last nights fight I think 147 is a bit of a push with his height, but I think 140 is the weight he should go to.

I want to see him fight a puncher next, Broner is very stationary and easy to hit, i want to see how he reacts to a hard shot from a 140/147 power puncher..
