I dont think change in trainer / fitness is the problem.

I totally agreed with what Adam Booth said on ringside last week, it's a mental / emotional thing, that nothing to do with fitness/ability...

He needs a sports psyhcologist or something like that but I said before he cant be like that in a boxing ring...not sure what it is but he doesnt like getting hit (none of us do) but he doesnt seem to have that ability to grit his teeth (no heart) yes people say he's British champion he did that witohut getting hit and knocking most out in a round or 2..

He learnt too easy or just doesnt have the heart.

i think he should retire he wants to be a world champion that aint gonna happen, why settle for second best! Just my opinion though some people might think that seems harsh but mentally losing in your home city by stoppage twice in four months is not good for anyone.

I cant see him wanting to drop back down to the level of Sprott and Harrison and everyone above that is a dangerous fight for him. Again my opinion

I don't think he should retire, imo him stepping down a couple of levels won't be the end of the world. I wouldn't want him to just go back to beating kids in a round or two, he needs taken out of the spotlight and a fresh start to his career. Firstly he needs to decide on who his trainer is going to be and has to listen to them.

He then needs to start fighting against durable opponents that will help him build a ring stamina and take him 8-10 rounds regular, that should build his confidence as well as the ring stamina.

No more blow away jobs and no more big billings until he is actually ready to step into the big leagues.

David Price is better than you think he would still really easily win everything and beat everyone in the amateurs he can still make a success of himself. He would kill fighters like Deontay Wilder and Malik Scott and all them. he just made massive mistakes in the Thompson fights.

been away a few weeks, had a lot of hope for him but it' can never be, far too chinny... he is still better than Fury but just not a fighter it would seem. Too bad and thanks for the hope, but you just haven't got it David, good luck.

I honestly think when both price & fury s career finish, price will have had a more successful career out the 2.
Think he needs to step out the limelight fight on under cards across America and Europe and headlines shows when he has earned it.
Knocking out Journeymen after 12/13 fights doesn't and shouldn't warranty big headlining shows at such an early stage of a fighters career. Badly misguided and Maloney and all his team are to blame.

As someone who watched Thompsons pathetic performance against Wlad in their first fight, I can safely say that being KO'd twice by Thompson is as bad as it gets. Over the two fights, Price was in control of the action for roughly 30 - 60 seconds of 6/7 rounds.

Does Price have the worst jab in the business?

I cannot see where he can go from here.

I think Thompson only beat the count by a second or so in their last fight, a lot of others probably would not have e.g. Haye, Wlad. Price can definitely go a long way if he gets some help with the mental side of things.

Pathetic performance? You must have watched a different fight because Thompson was competing with Wlad on the cards and won the first 2 rounds.
