Default Why are my wrists hurting from bag work?

okay, so I just train on the punch bag at my local gym and I was punching the bag with just gloves, but my wrists really hurt a lot afterwards. Why is this? Are my wrists just weak and, if so, how do I strengthen them?

Im guessing your wearing too small gloves oand not wearing hand wraps under the glove..

your wrists hurting is probably from punching with bad technique

A combination of inadequate safety equipment (no wraps), poor technique, and your joints not being used to the beating you just issued them.
