Given how unpredictable the British weather is, its got to be the Millenium Stadium, and it's neutral.
I know it holds 74000 for football and rugby, but no idea what the capacity would be for a fight ? I know Calzaghe V Kessler was 50000, but not sure if that was the maximum capacity ?

It threw it down at the old Arms Park for Bruno/Lewis, they just replaced the Ring apron. If it gets that bad (Like Honeyghan/Hatcher), it can be delayed for 24 hours. And if the worse comes to the worse, Songkitroen and Carruthers fought bare foot!

Haven't they just announced an expansion to both ends though? Not sure when works due to start, but they got planning permission this month for it. I'd love it to be there, its five minutes from my house, Old Trafford would be good as well. Can't see it being in London, nor Nottingham due to the respective hometowns, and Cardiff only ever seemed to do big numbers if Calzaghe was fighting.

Orient ground to keep the Hearns happy or another bid for the Olympic Stadium.

Froch sounded confident it would be in Nottingham. Now that Groves has signed the contract I wonder if he has any say in it (I would guess not). The ball's in Matchroom's court.

no way it will be in Nottingham, eddie hearn is saying they aim to break all records with this fight.
you would only get 30,000 in city ground at best.
im going for old Trafford Manchester , to much already happening in London the last weekend in May.

I don't disagree, I was just going off Froch's quote in Jeff Powell's article - 'The two dream fights for me before I retire are one at the City Ground, then the other in Las Vegas. So it looks like they’re both coming true.'

Ultimately it will be down to Eddie.

With all due respect you are talking rubbish! I went to Benn/EubankII the views are shocking because the Stadium just goes up! And it is even worse now than it was then.

The Emirates would be ideal. Padded seating and 1 short bus ride.....

and Froch said the same thing about attendance breaking and takes us ALL the way back to Benn & Eubank...

Wow such along way back! man it's a shame life didn't exist before 1970 and hell the single Greatest Period in boxing history, the 1930s & 40s, well that never existed either.

Vacant BBBofC World Light Heavyweight Title

"A crowd of 90,000 at White City Stadium saw Harvey finish strongly to take the decision after he had been floored by McAvoy for a count of one in the second round.... Surviving a terrific beating in the fourteenth round, Harvey caught McAvoy in his corner in the final round and beat him badly with a series of hard right crosses." (Associated Press)

these people are scared to recognise such prowess as it marginalises their own validity! work harder boys!!!
