last i saw marciano wasn't connecting on too many of those elbows anyhow. he was short armed as they come which meant he had to get in tight and deliver in a very tight arc, the elbow follows, may graze, but rarely really connects with power. his greatest ko's were of attrition, even jjw I was preceded by a pounding. |

Alexis Arguello had one of the most beautiful stright right hands ever. It was as straight as an arrow and deadly accurate.
As for one single shot, Rahman's right hand against Lewis was pretty handy...not the best ever, but what a sweet punch it was. |

I think so, JT. What impressed me is about Arguello's right is that he threw it with apparently little effort. It didn't seem that hard sometimes, but the results spoke for themselves.

Ray Robinson vs Rocky Graziano. Probably hardest right hand ever thrown. SRR hit him through his guard and threw his gumshield in the far corner. Graziano didn't even know where he was. Brilliant footage.

And if you want to see more intentional elbows thrown, watch Pedroza-LaPorte. I still think LaPorte should have won that fight by DQ. |
