That's wrong. He's 6'1". Don't believe me than watch his videos. He's not even close to 6'5".

But Tillis did great against Tyson but as stated above he was tall.
Who were his poor quality opponents? Tillis was 6'1", that's not that tall.

What about the statements of K.Rooney, T.Atlas and C.D'Amato who always said that the ideal problem opponent for a Tyson was a rangey, tall boxer with good mobility who could take a punch.

Trying to twist Carl Williams in that category sounds like an attempt at forcing a square peg into a round hole, especially as regards the crucial 'good mobility' and 'take a punch' aspects at that stage for Williams.

PS. Just out of interest re. this forum's never-ending dearth of Tyson threads, I searched in the Advanced mode for who had more threads including their name in the thread title- 'tyson' or 'robinson'. It was a 1000-plus to about 340 thread win to Tyson over SRR, from which you can draw your own conclusions.

first of all THAT opponent would be trouble for any fighter! any real fighter that wants to FIGHT will have trouble with a runner, but i like to watch boxing to see a fight and knockout not hold, dance, jab and run,if you do,watch the Olympics.give me tyson, frazer, marciano any day over klitscho, ali,or holmes.no one is perfect but in his prime(except for douglas) mike was in shape and motivated to knock people the **** out!

Show me a little guy besides Holyfield, who used his height anyway and was roided to the gills, that pushed Tyson past a few rounds?
you are obsessed with the height thing! i showed you many fights were height meant nothing and you keep using douglas! one last time mike is an alcoholic was drinking and drugging his ass off, little training coupled mentally with zero fear of buster=loss, buster could have been 5'11"" as long as mike was in that shape and the opponent used a jab and threw combos (and had a good chin). mike would have lost.

plus doulglas's mom just passed and he used this to motivate him body and mind to win for her.one last thing fan man,why don't you watch some old fights of Orlin norris,he was a heavy at 5'9" or 10" fought in the 1990's and though he did not posses power easily out boxed much taller guys from the outside.he was a little boring but was was actually ducked by many for a title shot.

OK it seems the listiing I had was wrong, I accept that Tillis was 6' 1".

Tyson I met once. He appeard every bit of his kisted height 5' 11".5. Due to squat/heavy build, a crouch & fighting taller fighters he appears shorter in the ring.
