There you go with flawed logic. Because Sanders detonated that china chin of Waldo that means Sanders was a world beater. Sanders was a journeyman who got a once in a lifetime opportunity and seized it. He will never be remembered for anything but upsetting Waldo.

Peter is probably on par or slightly better than Danny Willims at this point.
Danny Williams will never be on the level that Sam Peter is on as we speak. To even suggest so reeks of biased feelings.

Though Peter is a much better fighter than Williams I still see a similar performance !! Dr.Iron fist is going to have a field day with Peter's chin !!

if Vitali makes it through camp and is at least half the fighter he once was he should have a good chance of defeating Samuel Peter.

I don't see where this elusive shit comes from either.

Sure, maybe if your name is Danny Williams you'll have some issues finding a giant target. Nobody else did though. And the work Lewis painted on Vitlay's face is proof of that fact.

Vitlay got hit plenty. He just happens to have a chin his brother doesn't possess. So it was never as much a big deal.

While I just stated facts nothing more you were trying to present Peter as somehow superior fighter to Vitaly's opponents.

While Peter achieved more than Willaims did, again IMO technicaly he is either on par or slightly better.

yeah and vitali shook em off and went on to give sanders the beating of his life.

too bad vitali has an A chin and Peter only has a B+ beard. Both would land shots but Vitali's quicker combinations, especially uppercuts would end the nightmare

I think this fight could go 1 of 2 ways. Either Vitali knocks out Peter or training camp does the same to Vitali

Stylistically, Vitali is a nightmare for Peter but so is training camp for Vitali
If Vitali can make it through training camp, which is a big IF, and if he looks similar in form as when he fought Williams in 2004, then he should definitely beat the goat herder.

Problem is, Peter's camp knows he has cancelled several times in a row over the past few years with repeated injuries and could have a huge amount of ring rust. He might not even be the same fighter when he comes back it's been so long.

How many fighters immediately fight for the championship after being away from the ring for 4 years with injuries?

Having said that, I think if they do end up fighting Klitschko sends the "Awesome Oaf" to the hospital.

This fight is really a waste of time for Vitali, who should go back to Ukraine and help his struggling government out. His attempt to become mayor of Kiev was a good start. He would make a good politician I think, just not a good boxer anymore.
I think so too.

Prime for prime, it's not even a choice. Vitali absolutely demolishes Peter. But now, with Vitali being 37 years old.... who knows?

However, Peter's record against tall skilled fighters is rather poor (Wlad beat him, McCline nearly did). And there's always the chance that even if Klitschko makes it through training camp, he gets injured during the fight. Also remember that he relied a lot on reflexes. They're diminished by now.

Maybe. He is still a stationary target - Vitaly's bread and butter.

This is why you can't be taken seriously.

Technically how are they on par? Danny Williams is one of the sloppiest heavyweights I have ever seen in my life. No balance at all, reaches with every punch he throws and rarely works behind a jab. Williams doesn't fight like he even knows what the word technique means.

Sam on the other hand has done quite well boxing, slipping punches and working behind a jab. Those are things you'll never see Danny Williams do.

Peter used MUCH better movement then Willaims ever has though. If Vitaloi won, it wouldn't be as easy as his win over Williams.

Very true so the fight should end the same as the Williams fight .

Not to say that the Awesome Oaf doesn't hit hard, because he does, but there's not one person in the division--including Scam--who has the type of one-punch power Sanders did in that straight left. I couldn't even see those damn straight lefts when he threw them.

I never expected you to take me seriously as I do not take you.

I concede Sam has improved tecnnicaly since the 1st Toney fight but he is not the boxer-specialist you are making him. He still gets hit a lot as he is always flat footed and the delivery is still very sloppy at most times. That being said I still find him more entertaining than most HW out there.
