Marciano is the most obvious answer. Louis and Frazier are next in line IMO.

Lewis - 2/8 (25%)
Liston 4/14 (29%)
The ability to score late round ( round 8 and beyond ) TKO's/KO's is a mix of the following:

1 ) Power
2 ) Stamina to keep throwing punches and retain the power.
3 ) The willingness to mix it / aggressive style
4 ) Durability to avoid late round TKO's.

Who's #1? The answer has not be given yet....Here's the new order among heavyweights:

Tyson - 1/9 (11%)
Dempsey - 2/16 (13%)
Foreman - 3/16 (19%)
Lewis - 2/8 ( 25% )
Liston 4/14 ( 29% )
Louis - 12/28 (43%)
Bruno - 4/8 (50%)
Jeffries - 6/12 ( 50% )
Marciano - 9-15 ( 60% )
Vitali Klitschko 6/8 ( 75% )

I would likr to hear from OLD FOGEY who felt these were usefull stats, and Marcaino_Frazier.

My take would be that the stats indicate Vitali has excellent stamina and carries his power late into his fights. Certainly if he were matched against Dempsey or Tyson or Foreman, this could be a strong factor in his favor. If Vitali survives the early rounds against these men, the odds certainly would shift more and more into his favor. With his chin and skills, he would certainly have a chance of surviving the early rounds.

Louis (who's percentage is pulled down by late fights), Jeffries, and Marciano obviously carried their power late. Off the top of my head, Louis ko'd Walcott, Conn, Simon, and Pastor after 10. Jeffries Ko'd Fitz and Corbett after 10. Marciano ko'd Walcott and LaStarza after 10.

The one negative observation I would make about Vitali is that he was simply never proven against the best of his time. He lost to the only really outstanding fighters he fought, Lewis and Byrd, and I cannot override that to give him a high historical ranking, anymore than I could rank a mediocre gridiron team such as the 2007 Philadelphia Eagles above the 1962 Packers or the 1975 Steelers regardless of what I thought would actually happen in a head to head matchup.

Louis and Marciano were the first names that I thought off.
