Default Sam Peter V Ike And Tua

How does the Nigerian Night mare do against these two beasts in their prime?

Ike's a focused Sam Peter, basically. Willpower to stay lean included, and more active than Peter could ever dream of being.

Ike is Peter like Larry Donald is Larry Holmes. Ike is the Better pure boxer, has better power, FAR better stamina, speed, skill work ethic ect. Just the all around better fighter. Sam Peter would not stand in front of peak 27-0 David Tua and knockout nor beat an early Chris Byrd.

Agreed.....Ike Ibeabuchi was just a different calibre fighter.

Yup. Ike beat maybe the best Tua we ever saw, and smashed HW punch numbers in the process.

I don't think Ike hits harder than Peter. Ike was a better boxer though.

Ibeabuchi and Tua stop Peter in the mid rounds.

I think Ike and Peter would battle from mid-range, where Ike had the quicker jab, greater handspeed, better boxing skills, and defense. They would be competitive in the first few rounds before Ibeabuchi took over against a faded Peter.

Tua would make it a fight on the inside with Peter. Peter cannot fight in close because he needs space to be effective. Tua would wear him down with short body shots and power shots upstairs.

Here’s how I see it.

Power - Tua, then Peter, than Ike.

Chin - Tua, then Ike, then Peter

Skills - Ike, then Peter, then Tua

Stamina Ike……..then……….Peter and Tua draw.

Defense – Ike and Peter draw, then Tua

Speed Ike, then Peter, then Tua

Ring generalship / Smarts – Peter, than Ike, then Tua

Heart – Peter, than Ike, then Tua. Yes—Tua punked out vs Lewis and Byrd. Ike was looney. Those types don’t have good fighting hearts. If you re-watch the Ike vs Tua fight, Ike’s corner urges him not to quit early in the fight.

Tale of the tape, Ike and Peter draw, than Tua.

Legacy wise / career acomplishments - Ike, then Tua, then Peter, though Peter is very young and Tua is still active.

Ike beats Peter badly.

Tua I'm not so sure. I could see him scoring a late TKO.

Ibeabuchi thrashes Peter. Tua-Peter is exciting and competitive for a time, but ultimately it's a clash of two crude sluggers in which one guy has considerably better power and a considerably better chin (Tua). Ultimately, probably both finish Peter off in the middle rounds.
