Roy Jones vs Montell Griffin II.
That uppercut was damn near amazing.

Lewis on Vitali's chin. Monstruous shot.

I second this. Referee Arthur Donovan also stated that this was the hardest single punch he ever saw. (Louis said he couldn't believe it when Paulino got up.)

When Jack Johnson uppercut Stan Ketchel into dreamland, you can see Johnson brushing Ketchel's teeth out of his glove as he regains his feet.

Larry Holmes produced three clearly highlight reel punches during his career. The one punch kayo to Evangelista's neck, the jab which took out Ocasio, and the utterly massive right uppercut which dropped Mike Weaver like a cadaver, and left him so severely shaken that the ensuing 60 second rest period was insufficient time for him to recover.

The right uppercut off the ropes which Jack Dempsey wiped out Firpo with. Luis had been following the then standard South American protocol of going down after a hard punch to evade further punishment, so he was hitting the deck virtually every time Jack was nailing him cleanly. Dempsey was going to need to drop him for the full count with a single punch to get Firpo outta there. The right uppercut Jack bombed Luis with, as Dempsey had his own back to the ropes in round two was his ticket out of the Polo Grounds with the title intact.

If you want an example of a right handed boxer with a superb left uppercut, Lou Ambers had a uniquely good one, a punch he could actually utilize like a jab, doubling and even tripling up on it. Alexis Arguello also had a fine lead left uppercut which could split an opponent's defense cleanly (as Alex could indeed do with any of his punches).

Wilfredo Gomez was one of the very few boxers of his era who could uppercut effectively with both hands at a world class level.

Jess Willard killed Bull Young with his uppercut.

The right uppercut off the ropes that Mike Spinks blasted Jerry Celestine senseless with looked even more devastating to me than the one Tyson leveled Marvis Frazier with, moreso because Celestine wasn't pinned in a corner, or against the ropes, but was standing in mid-ring when the shot went off. (And even on television, it sounded like a gunshot. The camera angle for capturing it was perfect.)

Lennox Lewis left and right uppercuts were neck breakers.

Unfortunately not, only the knockout. It was one to remember though.

Yeah, what a bomb that was! Benvenuti definitely had underrated one- punch- power...

Mike Tyson was Koed by combination left uppercut - right cross. Morrison was KD by comb right uppercut to the body - right uppercut to the chin. Grant was destroyed by uppercuts. J. Fortune was KOd by 4 or 5 uppercuts in a row etc.
ps thats all about Lewis

For Me its got to be Saad Muhammed's Left Uppercut which almost took Lottie Mwale's Head off ! its a Miracle that Lottie's head did not end up in the 5th Row !

The left uppercut, straight right dropped Mike (or at least made Cotton call it a KD), but the final punch was a bit of a looping right hand followed by a push. Lewis made Tyson leary in round 2 with a few right uppercuts, and landed a good short left UC early in round 1.

Lewis also used the uppercut well (helped in part by his hit and hold tactic) against Holyfield, Bruno, Mohawk, and Vitali.

The best uppercut or at least the most visually dramatic uppercut I have ever seen was Mauricio Pastana's against Everisto Primero. Primero's entire upperbody was whipped back from his slightly hunched position and was nailed to the canvas. How on earth he ever got up I will never know.
