Default Advice needed. URGENT!

Anyhow guys i am in this lil situation and feel uneasy and i would need to hear some advice definately. This trainer who works with a friend of mine had been wanting to meet with me for a long time for what i hear. So i finally told my friend to give this guy my number. So i talked with this guy twice and he wants me to go have a workout with him and some other pro trainer. I told him i already had a trainer and won't sell him out but the guy just keeps on at it with words. I don't even know the guy only talked to him twice and he has been asking shit load of questions about my goals, education, trainer, etc. I would consider going to the workout but i don't want to get myself caught up in some shit. The guy is talking about championships going pro etc but at this point in time i'm still an amatuer boxing the guy is taking this shit to fast talking about setting up a team. I told him i already have a trainer and its all good then he says we can all work together. But i don't know how that will go with my current trainer who is also my friend and taught me from day one. Like i can do what i want but i aint gonna sell out my current trainer. So what should i do should i go to the workout tomorrow morning at 12:30 or tell him straight up i'm not interested. A part of me is curious but at the same time i don't want to get entrapped in anything.

go to the workout. aint like you ****in anyone over your getting a workout. it all depends on your goals in this sport. if your current trainer cant get you where you want to be then consider changing, not necessarily to the new guy but whoever you feel is right. in the end its your life on the line in the ring and your life after you get out of it.

Do what you need to do to get to where you need to get. Is your coach actually doing what he needs to do and can he take you where you need to go? If not, you need to move on. You can still keep your coach but if he can't step up to the plate you move on, just like Leonard, Khan etc did when their amateur coaches couldn't cut it.

If he's offering you free training, then I would watch out for a snag, that you dont get caught up into a professional scheme, or be forced into committing yourself into something you're not mentally or willingly prepared to do. If it's gym fees, upfront, and you are paying for it, then you can afford yourself the ease to pull out at anytime. I dont think this guy will let you off the hook if you change your mind.
THe other thing you can do is say you're willing to give it a shot, BUT AFTER A WEEK YOU MAY POSSIBLY NOT WISH TO CONTINUE. This just sets him up for lower expectations, and if he agrees to take you on, on a trial basis then you have nothing to lose by taking that opportunity. That way you are protecting yourself.

if it's just a workout, o well? not like ur doin nething bad. hold ur ground to what u want and make sure it's known what u want. talk to ur current trainer about the guy and c if he does want to be part of the team that he's tryin to put together.
