Enzo Calzaghe doesn't like his fighters skipping rope.
I guess it works for Joe's particular style of fighting.

joe skips on his own time after a workout. but enzo wont let his fighters skip during his workout because he says "its just a way to make you look like your working hard when it isnt hard work at all."

Anyone have Ray Robinsons workout? Or maybe some specific examples about what his workout was like? Thanks!

I wished Norton would have talked about his weightlifting. I dont think one can get a body like that without working out.

I own this book and am partial to it.

I am happy to accept it is as a brief sample of a fighters lifestyle (even though it's been criticized for fabrication). He basically wrote a book based on short chats with fighters so you can imagine how watered and scattered the info is.

One thing I couldn't believe is the softness of many workouts listed. I was in full training when I bought this and realized I was working a harder workout than many of these champs(minus the roadwork). This is surely a crock of shit book overall but good for a bit of knowledge. He provides a good routine builder in there aswell.

Yeah, great book! I grabbed it when it was new, now it's nearly ****ing impossible to find!

Volume 2 should be interesting!

One thing that annoys me is the lack of inclusion of sparring.

Would be good to know how often, when, what role it plays in their training as obvious it is the most important thing of all in training.
