Stevenson certainly was a splendid amateur fighter who set quite a legacy. My only hesitation with making assumptions about how he'd do as a professional, is that great amateur fighters do not always transcend well into the pro ranks. I have particular concerns about Stevenson who spent way too much time there, and became overly accustomed to fighting guys who ranged from their teens to early 20's. He also became a master of using 3 round perameters which was great for amateurs, but would have been useless in a pro ring.

Stevenson was a somewhat overrated fighter, and if he turned pro, probably wouldn't have the sucess he had as an amateur.
