Akinwande is definitely in his downward spiral now, which is characteristic of fighters at the end of their careers. Henry is 42 years old and he's losing to ham-and-eggers on the European circuit. Maybe it's time to hang up the gloves.

Too bad Akinwande could not get any big fights during his prime -- which was the late '90s -- aside from Lennox Lewis. Akinwande was a pretty serious contender back then and if given the chance, he might have beaten many of the division's top guys.

Future generations will probably not give Akinwande the credit he deserves. He will be underrated because he did not get a chance to prove himself outside of the Lewis bout.

As for Pala, can anyone tell me if he's any good? All I really know about him is that he was TKO'd by Denis Boytsov not too long ago.

I havent seen that fight either. Only read that it was a close point decision victory for the young Czech.

Anyway! Great victory for the Czech winning a point decision against one of Oener's guys on one of Oener 's fight shows in Turkey!
To be frank I didnt think that Pala could beat the African ,but he proved me wrong. Sinan Samil Sam' style suits the young Czech much better than the AFrican's one.
Would love to see Pala take on either Sinan Sam or rematch Boytsov!

I know Artur Cook , he is indeed from Canada, and is trained by a friend of mine Steve Rowlands in Las Vegas where Cook is currently residing..

I watched Cook spar competetively with Friday Ahunanya and Teke Oruh a short while back, he is very capable..

How about putting Pala in against Platov, who also beat Akinwande in the last 18 months ??.. Ive never seen Pala fight but ive seen Platov, and although he looked a bit suspect in the NC against Danny Williams, he can certainly bang.

Pala fought on Sinan Samil Sam's undercard.Thats why I for my part hope that he may get a shot at Sinan ' s european title.
Pala is a good decent young fighter,but he isnt a big banger.Thats for sure. Sam's promoter Oener may consider him to be the ideal opponent for his boy.
Come to think of it there are some similarities between Vidoz and Pala.

Pala will appear on a fight show this upcomming weekend in the Czech Republic's capital Praha taking on an unheralded journeyman with a poor fight record. Pala seems to get busy at the end of this year.

I very much hope that he will soon get a mayor fight and a good pay day.

Isnt Sinan Samil Sam still looking for an opponent??? Pala fought on his undercard beating Henry Akinwande.

Airich is dangereous man for Sinan. However, Sinan's time moves fast. I do not think he has any chance a getting top spot for World Championship. So, Ahmet Oner thinks like me and he want to use Sinan for his other guys who has talents and is prospect for next generations. Sinan must choose his selection. He may retire or can fight against his stable mates for their career like a sparring partner, veteran.
