"Amir's still got the L plates on," ****** told BBC Sport. "He's still got a lot to learn. But that fight was better than having four or five fights against ordinary guys." "He won't be challenging for a world title in the next five or six fights, that's for sure," said ******. "He got caught by rushing in, chin up in the air and it took him five rounds before he started throwing uppercuts, and that was the shot to catch Limond with. "Every time he threw one, he really hurt him, and eventually broke his jaw with that shot. "When Amir picks his shots, which he started doing as the fight went on, you see the best of him. "But he's got so much confidence in his ability and that's sometimes a danger. "I like to see fighters tucking up and keeping their chin down. Amir can still look very amateur sometimes. "But he showed he's got a good chin, a good heart and by the end of round six [when Khan was sent to the canvas] he was back in it. "You get careless and you get caught in this game, but the main thing is how you cope. Fighters who haven't got chins don't get up. |

Frank ****** know Calzaghe is the best fighter of the last decade. Notice how he would compare Khan to SRR and never Calzaghe. His only mistake with Khan is the choice of trainer.

The TV show idea and the autobiography were clear signs of them wanting to milk it for all it's worth in a short period of time before the inevitable happened. Khan apologists say that Khan has created interests in boxing? Yes, for idiot kids who want his money, his fame and his status... but will they want it when he gets KTFO brutally? Seems like that wouldn't be the case as the kid's who want to be Khan want the same easy red carpet ride that he is getting. Then what about the new fans because of Khan? When he gets laid out, they leave the sport. So what good does this do except disgrace British boxing? |
